Family awaits justice, closure
On Feb. 8, 2008, Salinas police found 46-year-old postal worker Jean Franklin brutally stabbed to death in her California Street apartment. Two and a half years later, Franklin's boyfriend, Edward Gardner, remains in Monterey County Jail accused of her slaying.
